Oborevwori Says Delta APC Will Deliver Massive Votes for Tinubu in Presidential Primary

Delta State Governor and Coordinator of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primary Election in the state, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has urged party leaders and members to mobilise massively for President Bola Tinubu ahead of Saturday’s presidential primary election.
Oborevwori gave the charge during a visit to APC founding leader in Delta State, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, at his country home in Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
The governor expressed confidence in the party’s strength in the state, saying the APC had the structure and grassroots support to deliver no fewer than 390,000 affirmation votes for President Tinubu.
According to him, the party currently has over 470,000 registered members across Delta State and should record impressive participation during the exercise.
“We know our strength as a party in Delta State. We expect a massive turnout because this exercise is important for the unity and future of our party,” Oborevwori said.
He recalled the support he received during his emergence as the APC governorship candidate, noting that President Tinubu deserved even greater backing as leader of the party.
The governor also stressed the need for discipline, loyalty and respect for party leadership, warning that political organisations lacking internal order and cohesion would struggle to remain strong and united.
“A political party without discipline and respect for leadership cannot move forward. Leadership provides direction and stability,” he stated.
Oborevwori further appealed to stakeholders to remain united and avoid actions capable of undermining the party’s cohesion in the state.
Responding, Emerhor commended the governor for what he described as purposeful leadership and efforts at strengthening the APC in Delta State.
He praised Oborevwori for showing humility and respect towards party elders, describing such qualities as vital for enduring political leadership.
Emerhor assured the governor of the commitment of APC leaders and members in the state to work towards delivering overwhelming votes for President Tinubu during the primary election.
