Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has approved the appointment of new chief executives for two key state agencies, reinforcing his administration’s drive to strengthen local participation in development and improve urban regulation.
According to the approval, Chief Kakor Stanley Ese has been named Director-General of the Delta State Local Content Agency, while Mr. Okoh Sabastine will serve as Managing Director of the Delta State Signage and Advertisement Agency.
The Delta State Local Content Agency is responsible for promoting indigenous participation in government projects, encouraging the use of local skills, materials and services, and ensuring that Deltans benefit maximally from investments within the state. The agency plays a strategic role in job creation, capacity building and sustainable economic growth.
Similarly, the Delta State Signage and Advertisement Agency oversees the regulation, control and management of outdoor advertising, billboards and signage across the state. Its mandate includes improving the aesthetic outlook of urban centres, ensuring public safety, and generating revenue for the state through proper signage regulation.
The appointments take immediate effect and are expected to further reposition the agencies for efficiency, accountability and effective service delivery, in line with Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda for inclusive governance and development in Delta State.
