Uvwie, Ughelli North Clash in Grand Finale of Oborevwori U-17 Unity Cup

All roads lead to the Ekpan Police Station Field on Sunday, February 15, 2026, as Team Uvwie square off against Team Ughelli North in the much-anticipated final of the Sheriff Oborevwori U-17 Unity Football Cup.
The youth football tournament, sponsored by Amurun Idama Esq., CEO of Arthur Ferdinand Ltd, has drawn attention across Delta State for its commitment to grassroots talent discovery and unity among delta central senatorial district local government areas.
Kick-off for the grand finale is slated for 3pm, while the third-place playoff will take place earlier in the day at 12 noon at the same venue.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, alongside top government officials, football administrators and match officials, is expected to grace the closing ceremony.
Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Mr. Edema Fuludu, called on football enthusiasts and residents to turn out en masse to witness what promises to be an exciting conclusion to the competition.
The tournament has provided a platform for budding stars to showcase their skills, with Sunday’s final set to crown the best U-17 side in this year’s edition.
