The former world champion clocked an impressive 12.72 seconds to secure the gold medal, comfortably ahead of Taiwan’s Bo Ya Zhang, who finished second in 13.17 seconds, while compatriot Yi Po-an claimed third place in 13.37 seconds.
Amusan’s winning time erased the previous meet record of 12.80 seconds set by former world champion and Olympic silver medallist Nia Ali, further underlining the Nigerian’s resurgence this season.
The 29-year-old had earlier dominated her qualifying heat, signalling her intentions for the title race. She carried that form into the final, producing a commanding display before an enthusiastic crowd.
After a strong start, Amusan took complete control of the race from the fourth hurdle and steadily increased her advantage over the rest of the field. By the closing stages, she had established an unassailable lead, crossing the finish line well clear of her nearest rivals.
The triumph represents Amusan’s third victory in five appearances this season and extends her remarkable streak of podium finishes in 2026.
It also marks the second consecutive competition in which the Nigerian has broken a meeting record, having achieved a similar feat at the Rabat Diamond League earlier this year.
The latest success further boosts Amusan’s preparations for the major international championships ahead, as she continues to demonstrate the form that has made her one of the world’s leading sprint hurdlers.
