The Delta State Government has strongly condemned the tragic and unlawful killing of a young Deltan, describing the incident as a serious violation of human life and a betrayal of the responsibility to safeguard citizens.
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori expressed profound grief over the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, reiterating that the safety, dignity, and protection of every citizen remain a top priority of his administration.
The Governor commended the swift disciplinary measures taken by the Nigeria Police Force, stressing that accountability must be thorough, transparent, and uncompromising. He maintained that all individuals found culpable must face the full weight of the law, insisting that justice must not only be served but must also be seen to be served.
Governor Oborevwori further assured that the State Government would closely follow the matter through to its logical conclusion, provide support to the affected family, and continue to uphold the rule of law while promoting a just, safe, and humane Delta State.
