The Chairman of Ofugara Give Back Initiative and Ofugara Peace and Unity Football Tournament, Engineer Silva Ofugara, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, urging continued unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.
In a statement issued on Friday, Engineer Ofugara congratulated Muslim brothers and sisters for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast, describing the holy month as a period of deep reflection, sacrifice, and spiritual rejuvenation.
He noted that the values of love, tolerance, and compassion associated with the Eid celebration align with the core objectives of the Ofugara Peace and Unity Football Tournament, which seeks to foster harmony and strengthen community bonds through football.
“Eid-el-Fitr is a time to celebrate not just the end of fasting, but the enduring virtues of patience, generosity, and unity. These are the same principles that football promotes—bringing people together regardless of differences,” he said.
The chairman further called on Nigerians to embrace the spirit of togetherness, stressing that collective peace and mutual respect remain essential for national growth and development.
Engineer Ofugara also reaffirmed the commitment of both organisations to using football as a platform to inspire youth engagement, promote peaceful coexistence, and build bridges across diverse communities.
He wished all Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration.
“Eid Mubarak,” he added.
