Eid-el-Fitr: Oborevwori Calls for Peace, Unity Among Muslims, Nigerians

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the state and Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, and issued in Asaba, the Governor congratulated Muslims on their devotion, sacrifice, and commitment to the spiritual values of Islam demonstrated during the fasting period.
He noted that Ramadan serves as a time for deep reflection, self-discipline, compassion, and renewed faith, urging Muslims to sustain these virtues beyond the holy month for the benefit of society.
Governor Oborevwori emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence, unity, and tolerance among Nigerians of different religious and ethnic backgrounds. He further called on citizens to use the occasion to pray for lasting peace, stability, and national progress, stressing that collective efforts and mutual understanding are key to overcoming socio-economic challenges.
While wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration, the Governor reassured Deltans of his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructural development, and the welfare of all citizens in line with his M.O.R.E Agenda.
He also urged residents to celebrate responsibly and continue to support government efforts aimed at building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Delta State.
