The Delta State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has confirmed that its State Congress will take place on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, as part of the party’s nationwide congress programme approved by the National Working Committee.
A statement issued by the party’s state secretariat disclosed that the one-day exercise will be held at Centenary/High Court Road, Asaba, the Delta State capital.
The congress is expected to draw accredited delegates from the 25 local government areas of Delta State, alongside ward, local government and state party officials, as well as other statutory delegates, in line with the APC constitution and guidelines.
According to the party, the exercise will culminate in the election of a new Delta State Executive Committee that will pilot the affairs of the APC at the state level ahead of future political engagements.
Party members and stakeholders have been urged to adhere strictly to accreditation procedures and maintain peace and order throughout the congress, which the APC described as a vital step in strengthening internal democracy.
The statement was signed by Valentine Onojegbo, APC Delta State Publicity Secretary, who assured members of a transparent, credible and hitch-free congress.
The March 3 congress is regarded as a crucial political event that will determine the leadership direction and organisational strength of the APC in Delta State going forward.
