Asagba of Asaba Calls for Unity in Ubulu-Uku, Pledges Support as Obi Akaeze Seeks Peaceful Reconciliation

The people of Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State have been urged to rally behind their traditional ruler and support his efforts in providing the needed leadership for peace and stability in the kingdom.
The call was made by the Asagba of Asaba, His Royal Majesty Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN, OON, when the Obi of Ubulu-Uku, His Royal Majesty Obi Noah Chukwuka Aninyemeze Akaeze, paid him a courtesy visit at his palace.
Speaking during the visit, the Asagba reflected on the rich cultural heritage of the Ubulu-Uku Kingdom, describing it as deeply rooted in the traditions and identity of the Anioma nation. He noted that the visiting monarch embodies the values and cultural pride of his people.
Prof. Azinge said interactions between traditional rulers help to strengthen unity, build bridges and promote the exchange of ideas that can foster peace and development within their domains.
Acknowledging that the kingdom may be experiencing challenging moments, the Asagba expressed optimism that the issues confronting Ubulu-Uku would soon be resolved through dialogue, reconciliation and collective effort.
According to him, “This may be a trying moment for you and your kingdom, but I believe it is only a matter of time because there is no challenge that cannot be surmounted. It is therefore important for us as brothers to guide and support you in charting a path for full reconciliation and unity in your kingdom so that you can continue to reign peacefully among your people.”
He assured the Obi of Ubulu-Uku of his readiness to play any role that would help restore lasting peace and harmony in the kingdom.
The Asagba also appealed to the people of Ubulu-Uku to work harmoniously with their monarch, respect the revered institution of kingship and encourage him to exercise leadership in the interest of unity and progress.
He emphasized that the people of Ubulu-Uku and the wider Anioma nation share a common heritage and must continue to preserve their culture and traditions through peaceful coexistence.
Earlier in his remarks, the Obi of Ubulu-Uku, Obi Noah Chukwuka Aninyemeze Akaeze, thanked the Asagba of Asaba for his unwavering support and affection for him and the people of Ubulu-Uku, even during his time in the United Kingdom.
The monarch briefed the Asagba on some of the issues affecting the kingdom and appealed for his fatherly intervention, wisdom and experience in helping to resolve them and strengthen peace in Ubulu-Uku.
